Our Vision
Its so important to stay focused on WHO we are and WHY we are as a church family. Our vision is what drives everything we do.
We believe the Bible teaches that God created this world for mankind and mankind for Himself. (Genesis 1:26-28)
Life is all about people!
Made in the image of God, men and women, boys and girls, people of every race and culture, are born to express the image of their Creator in a life that is first spiritual and then physical.
Before God made the local church, He made the family. He brought a woman to a man and created a relationship in love that He likens to His own relationship with His Church. Adam and Eve bore children, and the buildingblocks of our race were established.
Families and towns and cultures and nations were birthed upon the foundation of the family. In the New Testament, Jesus establishes the Church, a called-out, local assembly of those who believe His Gospel. He equips the church to bear the message of His love to the world as they themselves walk daily in a Holy Spirit empowered lifestyle of humility before God and love for their fellow man.
It is extremely evident today that our spiritual enemy is against the family and the church. Broken homes and marriages, fatherless children, empty church buildings, the epidemic of addiction... We are losing our foundations.
Christian nations are built upon the church. Churches are built upon families. Families are built upon marriages. Marriages are built upon holiness unto the Lord.
It all boils down to this; surrender to the stated purpose of God for your life.
Know Me. Believe Me. Receive Me. Abide in Me...
Community Baptist Church understands that the nation is only as strong as her churches and the church is only as strong as her families. Not everyone will get married and start a family, but everyone needs a family. The local church is the family of God. Our vision is to strengthen that family by the Word of God and the love of the Spirit.
We are here to make disciples
of Jesus Christ!
Followers of the way of Jesus in the life of the Holy Spirit are the building blocks of our world. We want to see people everywhere come to a saving knowledge of the Gospel of Christ, but just as importantly, we want to see them grow in grace and love.
Everything we do as a church is focused around these two things. Making disciples and strengthening families. Our vision is that when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to gather His church, we will be found growing in grace, loving God, and loving each other.
